AbstractReactive arthritis is one form of the seronegative Spondyloarthropathies. Susceptibility to reactive arthritis is closely linked to individuals who have the genetic predisposition to the HLA-B27 allele (gene form). Although there is a reactive-inflammatory joint reaction present, the synovium is not damaged by infectious agents (bacteria, fungi, or virus). This article discusses the pathogenesis of reactive arthritis.

Reactive arthritis in children and adolescent: clinic, diagnosis, treatment (literature review)

AbstractThe article is devoted to the review of scientific literature and reflected modern understanding of reactive arthritis in children and adolescent. The main clinical symptoms of reactive arthritis in children are presented. Criteria of diagnosis of reactive arthritis are regarded. Questions of diagnostics and treatment of reactive arthritis in children are shown. Problems of prediction in reactive arthritis’ outcomes are reflected and the possibility of transformation of reactive arthritis in children to severe immunoaggressive disease is discussed.
